Selectarc BRAZARGENT 5045
BRAZARGENT 5045 is a widely used, cadmium-free silver alloy formulated with copper, zinc, high silver (45%), and tin. This alloy’s key features include a reduced melting point, increased fluidity, and excellent wetting properties. It’s particularly well-suited for close-fitting joints and tight gaps, providing good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Available in bare rods, coated rods (with HP Flux), and Tubular Brazing Wire (TBW) formats for versatile application.
BRAZARGENT 5045 is primarily used for brazing a wide range of metals, including steels, copper, copper-based alloys, stainless steels, and nickel and nickel-based alloys. It’s suitable for both flame and induction brazing processes (excluding coated forms and oven applications). Typical applications are found across industries such as HVAC, automotive, food and sanitary equipment, electrical components, household appliances, and healthcare. This alloy is designed for joint temperatures ranging from approximately -200°C to +200°C, maintaining its strength effectively.
