Selectarc B70
The Selectarc B70 is a high-strength, basic coated electrode designed for welding fine grain steels and steels with high mechanical strength (Rm up to 800 MPa). It produces welds of high security, offers stable arcs, minimizes spatter, provides good slag removal, and results in a neat weld seam. This electrode is particularly suitable for critical applications requiring high weld strength and security, along with a smooth weld appearance.
This electrode is ideal for welding a wide range of structural steels, including construction steels (NF A 35-501, DIN 17100, ASTM A 678grC, A709gr50,100, A710gr A) and high-strength steels (NF A 36-204, DIN 17102). It’s recommended for use with steels like 15CD4, 25CD4, 35CD4, XC38, XC48 and for applications demanding a high level of strength and security, such as in shipbuilding, heavy machinery, and bridge construction. Preheating and post-weld heat treatment may be required depending on the steel thickness and composition. Stress relieving heat treatment is typically recommended to enhance weld strength and ductility.
