Selectarc B691
The Selectarc B691 is a low-hydrogen basic coated electrode specifically designed for welding creep-resistant steels, particularly P91 (known as 691). This electrode offers excellent resistance to temperature and creep up to 650°C, making it suitable for demanding applications in high-temperature environments. It’s characterized by its ability to withstand hot gases and overheated steam, ensuring reliable welds in critical components.
This electrode is primarily used in power plants, heat exchangers, tubes, and steam boilers, where welding creep-resistant steels like P91 is required. It’s ideal for applications involving high temperatures and stresses. Proper welding procedures, including preheating, interpass temperature control, and post-weld heat treatment, are crucial for optimal performance and mechanical properties.
