Selectarc B69
Selectarc B69 is a basic coated electrode specifically designed for welding creep-resisting steels. It offers excellent resistance to high temperatures and hot gases, making it ideal for applications in demanding environments. The electrode boasts a low hydrogen content, contributing to a high-quality weld. This product meets the requirements of AWS A5.5, EN 1599, and ISO 3580-A classifications. It’s compatible with various steel grades, including EN 17 CrMo 3 5, 1.7332, and ASTM A387 grades.
This electrode is primarily used for welding tubes, boiler and pressure vessel steels, heat exchangers, steam boilers, and overheaters. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring high-temperature resistance and resistance to hot gas corrosion. Typical welding parameters include a current ranging from 80A to 190A depending on the electrode diameter, alongside preheating and interpass temperature controls for optimal weld quality. Post-weld heat treatment at 730°C for 1 hour, followed by a slow cooling process, is recommended to maximize mechanical properties.
