Selectarc B56S

The Selectarc B56S is a universal basic coated electrode designed for high-security welding of highly stressed connections. It offers excellent low-temperature properties, down to -60°C, and provides resistance against cold cracks. The slag is easily removable, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. This electrode is manufactured to meet stringent standards and provides reliable performance in demanding welding environments.

This electrode is ideal for applications such as welding frames, cases, supports, ship building, and pressure vessels. It is particularly well-suited for construction steels, tube steels, ship steels, steels for boiler and pressure vessels, high-strength steels, heat-resisting steels, and cold-tough steels. It’s commonly used with construction steels (S185 – S355), tube steels (GP240R P235GH – P265GH), and various ship steel grades (A, B, C, and D) conforming to ASTM A285 grade C, A414 grade C, D, E, F, and A442 grade 55, 60. Correct drying procedures (300°C/2h) and maintaining the interpass temperature below 175°C are critical for optimal performance.
