Selectarc 24/12S
This Selectarc 24/12S electrode is a Rutile-basic electrode designed for welding dissimilar steels, including stainless steels and low alloy steels. It features an austenitic stainless steel deposit with 15% ferrite, providing excellent weld quality. This electrode is suitable for high-temperature applications, acting as a buffer layer before hardfacing, and repairing machine parts for civil engineering. It produces a soft, well-shaped bead with self-releasing slag, offering a good aesthetic finish. It’s a versatile option for various welding needs.
This electrode is ideal for repairing machine parts in civil engineering, cladding construction steels (first layer on 18/8 cladding), welding stainless steels for general use and high-temperature applications, and as a buffer layer prior to hardfacing operations. It’s specifically formulated for welding stainless steels (such as S30900, S30453, S30908) and low alloy steels, ensuring robust and reliable welds.
