Selectarc UP EF3
This wire is a solid alloyed wire containing manganese, nickel, and molybdenum, specifically designed for submerged arc welding of high-strength steels. It’s characterized by a yield strength up to 550MPa and is suitable for applications in steel construction, foundries, and boiler fabrication. The wire is compatible with a range of base materials including fine grain high strength steels as defined by EN, ASTM, and API standards, ensuring robust welds for demanding applications.
The EF3 wire is primarily used for submerged arc welding of high-strength steels in applications such as structural steelwork, casting foundries, and boiler manufacturing. It’s particularly suited for welding materials specified by EN standards (P460NL1, P460ML1, S460Q, P500Q) and API 5LX70, 75, 80 grades. Welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, and stick-out) can be adjusted based on the specific application and wire diameter to achieve optimal weld quality and penetration. Consult the provided table for recommended welding modes and parameters.
