Selectarc Flux UP Ni02
This agglomerated welding flux, designated as ISO 14174 S A AF 2, is specifically formulated for submerged arc welding (SAW) and surfacing applications using Nickel alloy wires. It’s designed for easy slag removal and provides a good weld bead appearance. Furthermore, it can be utilized for dissimilar assembly joining Nickel alloys with stainless steels. The flux exhibits a low silicon pick-up characteristic, making it suitable for applications where precise silicon content is critical. It’s compatible with the following wire electrodes: AWS A5.14 and ISO 18274 – ERNiCr-3 S Ni6082, ERNiCrMo-3 S Ni6625, and ERNiCrMo-13 S Ni6059.
This flux is ideal for welding and surfacing Nickel alloy components, particularly in applications requiring good weld bead aesthetics and ease of slag removal. It’s particularly well-suited for joining Nickel alloys with stainless steels. Typical welding parameters include DC+ current with a 60 x 0.5mm strip electrode and a current capacity of 900A. Careful consideration should be given to the MSDS information regarding fumes and appropriate safety precautions.
