Selectarc TIG D25/09

This ER2594 wire is a low carbon solid rod specifically designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of duplex and super duplex (austenitic-ferritic microstructure) stainless steels. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion, particularly in chloride-containing media. Suitable for applications demanding high strength combined with corrosion protection. It can be used up to a service temperature of +250°C. This wire is compatible with several common stainless steel grades including S31803, S32304, S32900, S32550, S32750, S32760 and others.

This TIG wire is ideal for welding components in demanding environments requiring high corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Commonly used in pumps, vessels and piping systems. It is typically used with TIG welding mode and shielding gas (Argon). Specific gas flow rates are recommended (I1 (Ar) 6-12 l/min), and back shielding is advised to prevent ‘back end’ rust phenomena.
