Selectarc TIG 25/20

This product is a solid rod specifically designed for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of similar austenitic steels, such as 310. It is particularly well-suited for welding dissimilar steels, including high-temperature resistant steels and austenitic stainless steels. It offers good resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, up to 1000°C. This material is commonly used in demanding applications like the petrochemical industry, paper factories, and for various high-temperature equipment, including ovens and boilers.

The TIG 25/20 rod is primarily used in applications requiring welding of austenitic steels, especially those exposed to high temperatures. It’s suitable for use with TIG welding processes, utilizing argon or nitrogen shielding gases. Precise gas flow rates (6-12 l/min for Ar, 3-6 l/min for Ar/Nitrogen) are recommended depending on the welding mode. A copper backing support is advisable to prevent ‘back end’ rust formation when using back shielding with Argon or Nitrogen.
