Selectarc TIG 24/12

This low-carbon filler rod is specifically designed for TIG welding of similar grades of stainless steel (309L and 309) as well as for dissimilar joints such as carbon steels, martensitic (410) or ferritic (430) steels. Its high ferrite content allows for significant dilution without a significant risk of cracking. It is also suitable as a base layer for the build-up of low-carbon stainless steel or for a final anti-wear application. The safety data sheet must be consulted for information on fumes. Used primarily for TIG welding of various grades of stainless steel, as well as for repairs, civil engineering work and as a backing layer for hardfacing low-carbon stainless steels or for wear protection. The choice of shielding gases (Ar, Nitrogen) is essential to prevent the ‘rocking’ phenomenon.
