Selectarc TIG NIW

This solid rod is specifically designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of nickel alloys, particularly HASTELLOY W®. It offers a precise composition (NiMo25Cr5Fe5) with a minimum of 4.00% C and a maximum of 6.00% Cr, making it suitable for demanding welding applications. The rod’s chemical composition ensures optimal weld properties and performance when used with nickel-based alloys.

This TIG NIW rod is primarily utilized in the aerospace industry for the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of engine components. It’s ideal for welding nickel alloys like HASTELLOY W®, requiring high strength and corrosion resistance. The recommended welding parameters include an Argon shielding gas flow rate of 6-12 l/min for the primary shield and 3-6 l/min for back shielding.
