Selectarc TIG NI82

This product, TIG NI82, is a solid rod formulated for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of high nickel content alloys. Specifically designed for applications demanding resistance to oxidizing and corrosive attacks at high temperatures, it’s compatible with alloys like Inconel 600 and Incoloy 800. The rod is utilized in the construction of equipment operating in challenging environments and is particularly effective with steels containing 5% and 9% nickel. It also facilitates heterogeneous assembly between C-Mn steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels and nickel-based alloys, including those incorporating copper. This product boasts a specific chemical composition and offers robust mechanical properties suitable for demanding welding applications.

TIG NI82 is primarily used for construction and repair welding of high-strength steels, tool steels, corrosion-resistant steels, and high-temperature, nickel-containing alloys. Its key applications include component manufacturing, furnace construction, and operations within the cement industry. It is also suitable for joining dissimilar materials such as C-Mn steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel base alloys and copper alloys. The rod’s excellent mechanical properties make it appropriate for use in environments with extreme temperatures, such as -196°C.
