Selectarc TIG CUA9
This is a solid rod designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of cupro-aluminium alloys. It offers high resistance to wear and abrasion, making it suitable for hardfacing ferritic/perlitic steels. The rod delivers deposits that are harder than those of TIG CUA8. It’s commonly employed in assemblies for welding and hardfacing aluminium-bronze, aluminium coated steels, and cast iron, particularly within the machining tools and naval construction industries.
This welding rod is primarily utilized for GTAW applications involving cupro-aluminium alloys. Specifically, it’s ideal for hardfacing ferritic/perlitic steels, providing enhanced wear and abrasion resistance. Common applications include welding and hardfacing aluminium-bronze, aluminium-coated steels, cast iron, especially in industries such as machining tools and naval construction. Welding parameters typically involve a GTAW process with appropriate shielding gases and preheating based on part thickness.
