Selectarc TIG CO21

This is a cobalt-based solid rod specifically designed for TIG welding applications. It’s formulated for high-performance harfacing of Stellite™ Grade 21, offering excellent wear and oxidation resistance up to 1000°C, even in the presence of sulfurous atmospheres. The rod provides good resistance to thermal and mechanical shocks, and is highly resistant to cavitation and erosion, depositing non-magnetic weld metal.

Ideal for surfacing motor valves, gas turbine blades, extrusion nozzles, forging dies, forging tools, mixers, and valves for gas/water/vapour/acids. Recommended preheating to 200-400°C during welding, followed by slow cooling – preferably in an oven – to minimize the risk of cracking. Welding parameters include TIG mode with shielding gas (Ar) at 6-12 L/min.
