Selectarc MIG 21/10MA
This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of high-carbon solid wires used with heat-resistant stainless steels having similar chemical compositions. It is particularly suitable for applications resisting scaling and oxidation up to 1100°C, offering high creep resistance. This wire is compatible with a range of stainless steel alloys including UNS Alloy EN 10095 (X15CrNiSi20-12, 1.4828), X12CrNi22-12 (1.4829), S30815 253MA, X8CrNiSiN21-11 (1.4893), and X9CrNiSiNCe21-11-2 (1.4835).
This wire is ideal for applications such as ovens, thermal processing equipment, and chemical installations requiring welding with heat-resistant stainless steels. It’s recommended to use with shielding gases like Ar+0.5-5%CO2 (M12) or Ar+0.5-3%O2 (M13) and a flow rate of 15-20 l/min. Employing back shielding with Argon or Nitrogen gas, or a copper backing support, helps prevent ‘back end’ rust phenomena.
