Selectarc MIG 20/10

This low carbon solid wire, designated MIG 20/10, is specifically formulated for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of stainless steels, including 304, 304L, 347, 321 and 347. It’s stabilized with Niobium (like 347) or Titanium (like 321). The wire’s composition offers mechanical properties suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly in service temperatures between -120°C and +350°C, commonly used in boiler making and piping system fabrication. It’s designed for use with argon shielding gas, optionally supplemented with carbon dioxide or oxygen, and includes a recommended flow rate of 15-20 l/min, along with an optional copper backing support to prevent ‘back end’ rust.

This wire is ideal for GMAW applications involving stainless steel grades like 304, 304L, 347, 321, and 347. Its design is suitable for use in critical applications requiring resistance to corrosion and high-temperature performance, specifically in sectors such as boiler manufacturing, and the creation of piping systems. The inclusion of a copper backing support is recommended for processes where the reverse side of the weld is exposed to moisture.
