Selectarc MIG NI82

This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of high nickel content alloys such as Inconel 600 or Incoloy 800. It offers robust performance in environments prone to oxidizing and corrosive attacks at elevated temperatures, and delivers high resistance at low temperatures when utilized with steels containing 5% or 9% nickel. Furthermore, it’s suitable for heterogeneous assembly between C-Mn steels or low alloy steels alongside stainless steels and nickel-based alloys, including some copper alloys. The wire possesses a chemical composition ranging from 2.5% to 0.10% carbon, with a significant chromium content (67.0-22.0%) and is designed for use across a broad temperature range, including cryogenic applications.

This wire is primarily utilized in the construction and repair welding of high-strength steels, tool steels, corrosion-resistant steels, and high-temperature nickel alloys. It’s commonly employed in component manufacturing, furnace construction, and within the cement industry. It’s particularly effective for applications requiring resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures, and can facilitate heterogeneous welding between different steel types, including stainless steels and nickel alloys. The recommended welding parameters include GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) with shielding gases ranging from 15-20 l/min, and a current and voltage range of 70-180A and 80-220V, respectively.
