Selectarc MIG NI59
This nickel alloy wire, designated MIG NI59, is specifically formulated for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) applications. It boasts a high chromium and molybdenum content, conferring exceptional corrosion resistance. It’s primarily recommended for cladding carbon steels and welding other highly corrosion-resistant nickel alloys, including C-276, C-22, alloy 59, and various special stainless steels. The alloy’s performance is notably reliable across diverse environments, including de-pollution applications (absorbers, chimneys), marine environments (seawater), and fertilizer production, as well as flue gas desulphurisation.
This nickel alloy wire is ideal for cladding carbon steels, welding highly corrosion-resistant alloys such as C-276, C-22, alloy 59, and other special stainless steels. It’s particularly well-suited for demanding applications requiring robust corrosion protection, including de-polluting systems (e.g., flue gas desulphurisation, absorbers, chimneys), marine environments (seawater), and fertilizer production. Welding parameters typically involve GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) with shielding gases ranging from 15-20 l/min, and current levels of 70-180A, 80-220A, 150-320A, or 220-380A, depending on the specific application and steel being welded.
