Selectarc MIG F77G
This solid wire, designated MIG F77G, is a low-alloy wire specifically designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of high-strength steels. It’s formulated with Nickel, Molybdenum, and Copper for enhanced welding performance. The wire boasts good impact strength even at low temperatures down to -40°C, making it suitable for demanding applications. It’s classified according to AWS A5.28, ISO 16834-A : G 69 4 M21 and offers a controlled composition to meet the requirements of high-strength steel welding.
The MIG F77G wire is primarily used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, offshore fabrication, and the construction of industrial machinery and cranes. It’s especially suitable for welding high-strength steels like S460, S500, S550, S620, S690, L480 and L550, ensuring robust welds with excellent impact resistance. Welding parameters, including current, voltage, and shielding gas (Ar/CO2 at 12-15 l/min) with a preheating and interpass temperature between 135-165°C, are recommended for optimal results.
