Selectarc MIG MV5S

This solid wire is specifically designed for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and hardfacing applications. It boasts exceptional resistance to temperatures up to 550°C, making it ideal for demanding environments. The wire is produced to a high purity standard, minimizing the risk of microporosity in the weld. This product is particularly suited for applications involving significant stress from impact and metal-on-metal abrasion.

The MIG MV5S wire is primarily used for build-up welding on equipment subjected to high impact loads and abrasion, such as plastic injection moulds, cold or hot working tools, and shredder hammers. It is recommended to pre-heat massive parts to 300-400°C and maintain this temperature during welding, gradually cooling to prevent cracking during the cooling process. Welding parameters (current, voltage, shielding gas flow) are specified for optimal results using an Ar/CO2 mixture.
