Selectarc MIG 819BS 1

This solid wire, designated MIG 819 BS, is specifically formulated for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) hardfacing applications. It’s crafted from a high-purity material (N° 1.6773) conforming to EN 14700 standards. This wire is particularly suitable for use with steels possessing a similar chemical composition, including 36NiCrMO16, 45NiCrMo18, and 60NiCrMo11. Its high purity minimizes the risk of micro porosity during welding. The typical chemical composition, with a minimum of 0.1% C and a maximum of 0.5% Si, ensures optimal weld characteristics. The hardness of the weld metal as-welded is approximately 48 HRC. This wire is primarily used for hardfacing applications, particularly in the production of cold working tools, swages for forging and punching tools, and molds for plastics. Welding parameters recommended for GMAW include a current range of 60-100A, a voltage range of 150-170V, and a shielding gas of ISO 14175: M21 (Ar/CO2) with a flow rate of 12-15 l/min.
