Selectarc MIG CUMN13
This solid wire is specifically designed for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) processes using copper-aluminium alloys. It’s ideal for applications involving surfacing on steels and cast iron, as well as creating cavitation-resistant overlayers. The wire boasts high resistance to wear and corrosion, particularly in marine and sea water environments. It’s suitable for demanding applications within the shipbuilding, chemical, and petrochemical industries, including the protection of exchanger surfaces.
This wire is primarily used for GMAW welding of copper-aluminium alloys in a range of industries. It’s particularly well-suited for applications requiring high wear resistance and corrosion protection, such as in shipbuilding (hull surfaces), the chemical industry (tank linings and reactor components), and petrochemical plants (exchanger tubes). The use of preheating is recommended for thicker sections to ensure proper weld quality. Typical applications include surfacing of steel and cast iron components, and creating corrosion-resistant layers for marine environments.
