Selectarc MIG ALG5

This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of aluminium alloys containing more than 3% Magnesium and up to 5% Magnesium. It’s a high-performance wire frequently utilized in demanding applications such as marine construction due to its exceptional resistance to saltwater corrosion, as well as in the railway sector for wagon welding and the road sector for trucks and tractors. It offers very good mechanical characteristics and is suitable for welding a range of aluminium alloy base materials.

This wire is primarily used for GMAW applications in marine construction, railway (wagon building), and road vehicle manufacturing (trucks and tractors). It’s particularly well-suited for environments exposed to saltwater corrosion, demanding high mechanical strength, and the joining of various aluminium alloy base materials like DIN 5056 AlMg5Cr, 5083 AlMg4.5Mn, and 5086 AlMg4Mn.
