Selectarc FCO 307
This stainless steel open arc wire (FCO 307) is specifically designed for welding challenging austenitic stainless steels and manganese steels. It offers excellent resistance against cavitation, shocks, and corrosion, making it suitable for demanding applications. It’s formulated for use without shielding gas and can be effectively employed as a buffer layer prior to hardfacing, particularly when welding dissimilar joints between stainless steel and steel constructions to mitigate cracking risks. The wire’s chemical composition ensures robust mechanical properties, meeting stringent standards for weld metal strength and ductility.
This wire is primarily used in civil engineering projects, including road construction, railway systems, and fluvial infrastructure, alongside quarry and cement operations. It is particularly well-suited as a buffer layer during hardfacing applications, especially when welding grades prone to cracking or in scenarios involving joints between stainless steel and steel, guaranteeing a strong and durable weld. It can also be used in general welding applications requiring the properties of stainless steel.
