Selectarc B58
The Selectarc B58 is a basic, low-hydrogen coated electrode designed for welding highly stressed connections with a high level of security. It offers excellent properties at low temperatures, down to -40°C, and is particularly effective against cold cracking. This electrode provides a stable arc, consistent weld beads, and easy slag removal. It is suitable for a wide range of applications requiring robust and reliable welds.
This electrode is primarily used for welding structural components like frames, cases, supports, in shipbuilding, and for pressure vessel fabrication. It is recommended for welding construction steels, tube steels, ship steels, and steels used in boilers and pressure vessels. Specifically, it’s ideal for applications needing high strength steels and steels resistant to heat. The electrode is compatible with various steel designations including S185 – S355, P235 – P355, and steel grades defined by ASTM and EN standards.
