This electrode boasts a soft fusion characteristic and a self-releasing slag, making it ideal for demanding welding applications. It’s specifically formulated for achieving long weld beads and delivering a visually pleasing finish.

The Selectarc 180 electrode is primarily used for butt welding thick plates and fillet welds, particularly with construction steels, tube steels, and ship steels. It is well-suited for applications requiring a high deposition rate and a smooth weld appearance. Recommended for use with steels classified under EN 10025 (S185 – S355), ASTM A285 grade C, A414, A442 and A515 grades.
