Selectarc Inox 316L
The Selectarc Inox 316L is a Rutile electrode made from a low carbon austenitic stainless steel, containing approximately 8% ferrite. It features a coating with extremely low moisture pick-up, resulting in a soft fusion without spatters, easy slag removal, and an exceptional bead appearance. This electrode provides exceptional welding performance in all positions and is suitable for welding and cladding on austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels and clad plates. It is designed for use in a wide range of applications where high corrosion resistance is required.
This electrode is particularly well-suited for welding and cladding applications in industries such as chemical and petrochemical, refineries, food processing, and shipbuilding. Specifically, it is ideal for welding pipes, tanks, heat exchangers, and other components where resistance to corrosion and high temperatures is crucial. Welding currents range from 45A to 180A depending on electrode diameter and thickness of the material being welded. Maintaining an interpass temperature below 150°C is recommended for optimal results.
