Selectarc Inox 316B
This is a basic coated stainless steel electrode, specifically formulated with molybdenum (Mo) to provide stability and excellent weld characteristics. It’s designed for use with austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels and clad plates, offering a regular bead pattern, easy slag removal, and good performance in various welding positions. This electrode is particularly well-suited for applications demanding high mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion.
The Selectarc Inox 316B electrode is ideal for welding and cladding applications within the chemical, petrochemical, refinery, and shipbuilding industries. It’s commonly used for joining pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers. Due to its robust properties, it’s suitable for service temperatures ranging from -196°C to +400°C. Precise control of the interpass temperature (below 150°C) and proper redrying (at 250°C for 1 hour, if needed) are recommended for optimal weld quality.
