Selectarc 316HR

High efficiency stainless electrode designed for welding stainless steels in demanding applications. This electrode offers high recovery (160%), a Rutile-basic coating resulting in a 316L deposit with approximately 8% delta ferrite. It delivers easy striking, a soft arc, automatic slag lifts, clean, spatter-free welds, and finely rippled beads, making it suitable for fast deposition and long bead lengths.

Ideal for welding stainless steels, particularly in the pulp and paper industry and the foodstuff industry. Suitable for general stainless steel welding, and specifically compatible with the following stainless steel grades: S31600, 316L X5CRNiMo17-12-2, 1.4401 UGINOX, S31635 316Ti X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2 1.4571 UGINOX, and S31640 316Cb X6NiCrMoNb17-12-2 1.4580.
