Selectarc 29/9

The Selectarc 29/9 is a Rutile-Basic electrode formulated for repairing stainless steels, tool steels, low alloy steels and other difficult-to-weld materials. It produces a high-quality austenitic-ferritic stainless steel deposit known for its resistance to cracking, making it ideal for use as a buffer layer before hardfacing and for rebuilding cutting tools. The electrode offers a soft, attractive bead appearance and features self-releasing slag, simplifying the welding process.

This electrode is primarily used for repair welding of stainless steels, tool steels, low alloy steels, and steels such as Mn steels, spring steels and those typically difficult to weld. It is also suitable for creating a protective buffer layer prior to hardfacing applications and for restoring worn-out cutting tools. Its properties make it appropriate for welding applications where crack resistance and a good weld metal appearance are required.
