Selectarc 25/20B
High-temperature stainless steel electrode designed for welding austenitic stainless steels. This electrode provides excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance up to 1200°C, ensuring consistent and stable fusion, good slag removal, and a visually appealing weld bead. It’s suitable for a wide range of high-temperature applications, including ovens, boilers, and thermal equipment within chemical and petrochemical industries. The electrode boasts resistance against hot cracks, further enhancing its reliability in demanding environments.
This Selectarc 25/20B electrode is primarily used for welding austenitic stainless steels in high-temperature environments. Typical applications include the fabrication and repair of ovens, boilers, thermal processing equipment, and components within chemical and petrochemical installations. It’s especially suited for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures and corrosive atmospheres. Following welding, the electrode needs to be redried at 250°C for 2 hours to avoid sigma phase formation.
