Selectarc CUT100
This cutting electrode is designed for the cutting, beveling, and piercing of various industrial metals and alloys, including stainless steels, cast iron, and copper alloys. It features a strong blowing characteristic for efficient metal removal and produces a smooth, uniform cut. A carbonization of the surface may occur, requiring a light grinding to remove up to 0.1mm.
Ideal for piercing holes, eliminating screws, and general-purpose cutting applications. When using, position the workpiece to allow molten metal runoff. Select the electrode diameter based on the metal thickness (e.g., 3.2mm for a 5mm base metal). Insert the electrode into the holder, set the appropriate amperage (130-180A for 3.2mm, 170-230A for 4.0mm), and apply slight pressure against the parent metal. Use an up-and-down motion to initiate and maintain the arc. For piercing, strike the arc and push the electrode in and out until the hole is complete.
