Selectarc HB95CoB
This is a special basic coated hardfacing electrode featuring a 150% recovery rate and a deposit composition of UD520 alloy. The deposited material is resistant to corrosion, scaling, oxidation, and thermal shocks, offering high-temperature strength and machinability. It’s designed for applications involving metal-metal wear at high temperatures, combined with impacts, compression, and thermal shocks.
This electrode is primarily used for surfacing dies, hot working dies, swages, and press tools, as well as hot rolls. It’s particularly effective in environments experiencing heavy metal-metal contact, high temperatures, and thermal shocks. For heavier overlays, use Selectarc HB95CoB exclusively for the final three passes. For intermediate and build-up layers, use Selectarc Ni82 and B92Co. Maintain low amperage, preheat workpieces to 300-500°C, keep electrodes steep, and avoid excessive weaving during welding. Allow the workpiece to cool slowly after surfacing to prevent overheating.
