Selectarc HB600HT
Selectarc HB600HT is a Rutile coated hardfacing electrode featuring a Cr-Mo-C martensitic steel deposit. This electrode provides resistance to metal-on-metal wear up to 550°C, suitable for applications involving abrasion from hot or cold metals, even under shock and pressure conditions. The weld metal exhibits a hardness of 58-61 HRC. It’s a soft fusion electrode with no spatter and self-releasing slag, making it machinable only through grinding.
This electrode is ideal for hardfacing shear blades, moulds, pressing and forging dies, as well as other components subjected to abrasive wear. Preheating is recommended for low alloy tool steels, requiring temperatures between 250-450°C depending on composition and thickness. Slow cooling in still air after surfacing is advised. Electrode dimensions: 2.5x350mm, 3.2x350mm, or 4.0x450mm, with corresponding welding current settings of 80A, 110A, or 150A.
