Selectarc HB450HT

Selectarc HB450HT is a Rutile coated hardfacing electrode designed for exceptional wear resistance. It features a martensitic steel deposit enriched with fine carbides of W, Cr, and V, offering resistance up to 550°C. The electrode is known for its soft fusion properties, minimal spatter, and self-releasing slag. Proper heat treatment, including soft annealing and tempering, is crucial to achieve the desired hardness and performance characteristics.

This electrode is primarily used for hardfacing metal wear applications, particularly in the reclamation of trimming and blanking dies, shear blades, cold and hot working dies for punches and forging dies. It’s suitable for scenarios requiring high wear resistance at temperatures up to 550°C, with post-processing heat treatments (annealing and tempering) to achieve a hardness of 50 HRC.
