This hardfacing electrode utilizes a rutile-basic coating and a cobalt base deposit of ‘Stellite grade 6’ (Co-Cr-W). The deposit offers high resistance to metal-metal wear and corrosion up to 800°C, alongside good resistance to thermal and mechanical shocks. It’s suitable for polishing and machining, providing a soft arc, easy slag removal, and a regular, smooth weld profile. It’s crucial to follow recommended preheating and cooling procedures to minimize cracking risks.

Ideal for hardfacing applications including valves, valve seats, sealing surfaces, hot shear blades, hot pressing tools, and coke beaters. Specifically designed for environments requiring high wear and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Preheating is recommended to minimize cracking during cooling.
