Selectarc Co25
Cobalt base Hardfacing Electrode « Grade25 » type. This electrode features a rutile-basic coating and a Co-Cr-W-Ni deposit, providing excellent resistance to metal-metal wear, oxidation up to 1000°C, and mechanical shocks. It’s also highly resistant to cracking, cavitation, and erosion, and is non-magnetic. This makes it suitable for demanding applications requiring high wear and heat resistance.
The Selectarc Co25 electrode is primarily used for surfacing a variety of components, including motor valves, gas turbine blades, extrusion nozzles, and forging dies and tools. It’s ideal for applications where significant wear and thermal stress are encountered. Proper cooling techniques – slow cooling after welding – are crucial to minimize the risk of cracking.
