Selectarc B92Co
This is a specialized hardfacing electrode formulated with alloy C (Ni-Cr-Mo) + Co, offering a 170% recovery rate. The rutile-basic coating ensures excellent welding characteristics and provides superior resistance to corrosion, scaling, oxidation, and thermal shocks. The deposit is also machinable, making it a versatile solution for demanding applications. Compared to Selectarc B92, this electrode boasts a higher hot strength and enhanced resistance to thermal shocks and metallic abrasion.
Selectarc B92Co is ideal for surface applications on parts subjected to compression, corrosion, high temperatures (400-800°C), and thermal shocks. Commonly used for surfacing hot working tools, hot shear blades, deburring tools, swages, forging saddles, forging and hot trimming dies, press tools, and pump parts. It’s particularly suited for situations requiring high hardness and resistance to thermal stresses. For heavier overlays, it’s recommended to use it only for the final two cover passes. Consider using Selectarc B90 electrodes for intermediate layers. Maintain a low amperage, preheat workpieces to 300-500°C, steer the electrodes firmly, keep the arc short, and avoid excessive weaving. Ensure the workpiece remains at temperature during the surfacing process and allows for a gradual cooling.
