Selectarc Cu115

This coated electrode is specifically designed for welding copper tin bronzes (Cu-Sn 6-8%) and brasses (Cu-Zn). It is also suitable for dissimilar joints and offers corrosion resistance to saltwater environments. The electrode provides a robust deposit ideal for a range of applications, including repair work and surfacing.

Selectarc Cu115 is recommended for repairing wrought bronzes (Cu-Sn), surfacing brasses, steels, and cast iron. It is particularly well-suited for constructing equipment for the chemical and petrochemical industries, naval constructions, and installations for seawater desalination. Key considerations include preheating heavy sections (above 6mm) to 150-300°C and maintaining a short arc with a slight declination (10-20°) of the electrode.
