Selectarc Cu114

This electrode is a basic coated electrode specifically designed for welding copper tin bronzes (Cu-Sn 6-8%) and brasses (Cu-Zn). It’s particularly useful for creating dissimilar joints. The resulting weld deposit exhibits excellent resistance to salt water corrosion, making it suitable for demanding marine environments. It is recommended for repairing wrought bronzes, surfacing brasses, steels and cast iron.

Selectarc Cu114 is primarily used in construction applications, particularly in the chemical, petrochemical, naval, and desalination industries. It is ideal for repairing existing structures and for surfacing operations. The recommended welding currents and post-weld treatments (redrying at 150°C) ensure optimal weld quality and mechanical properties. Pay particular attention to cleaning the base metal and controlling the welding speed for efficient degassing.
