Selectarc Cu110
The Selectarc Cu110 is a basic coated electrode specifically designed for welding various copper grades, including pure copper (C10100, C11000) and copper-nickel alloys. It’s also suitable for dissimilar joints and surfacing operations. The resulting weld metal boasts a high tensile strength comparable to most commercial copper types, exhibiting a porosity-free deposit. This electrode offers a versatile solution for a range of welding applications requiring high-strength copper welds.
This electrode is ideal for joining electrical copper electrodes used in furnaces, connecting copper to steel bars within electrically heated driveways, and creating weldments for a variety of copper alloy applications. It’s particularly effective in environments demanding robust and durable copper joints. Following welding, the weld joints require cleaning and proper guidance with a slight declination (10-20°) during travel, along with a short arc. Degassing can be enhanced by employing a low welding speed. Preheating is recommended for sections thicker than 5mm, up to approximately 500°C.
