Selectarc PHOSBRAZ AG180

PHOSBRAZ AG180 is a copper-phosphorus-silver alloy (CuP-Ag) designed for manual brazing applications. This alloy offers excellent fluidity when joining copper components, providing strong, leak-proof joints. It’s particularly suitable for plumbing, electrical components, refrigeration, and heating/ventilation systems. The addition of silver lowers the liquidus point, refining the alloy and enhancing electrical conductivity and ductility. This alloy is designed for use without a flux, ensuring optimal performance. However, it’s crucial to avoid using it with sulphur-containing media or ferrous metals (steel, iron, nickel, cobalt) to prevent the formation of brittle phases and maintain corrosion resistance.

PHOSBRAZ AG180 is primarily used for brazing copper to copper connections, including sleeves, tubes, and copper connections. It’s a versatile solution for joining components in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and heating/ventilation systems. This alloy exhibits excellent gap-filling properties, allowing for bridging wider gaps. It can be used with flame. Its temperature range supports applications from +150˚C to -70˚C without significant loss of strength. The alloy is ideal for electrical and electromechanic industries.
