Selectarc PHOSBRAZ AG10

PHOSBRAZ AG10 is a copper-phosphorus alloy containing silver, designed for manual brazing applications. This alloy is formulated to lower the liquidus point, refine the alloy, and enhance electrical conductivity while increasing ductility and resistance to vibration. It offers excellent fluidity when brazing copper sleeves, tubes, and connections, producing leak-proof joints. While primarily used for joining copper to copper, it can also be used with low zinc brasses in conjunction with PHOSBRAZ flux. It’s crucial to note the alloy’s limitations regarding sulfur-containing media, steels, and iron-containing materials, which can lead to brittle phase formation and corrosion issues under specific conditions.

PHOSBRAZ AG10 is primarily utilized in plumbing, electrical components, refrigeration, and heating/ventilation systems. It’s a cost-effective solution for joining copper to copper, and is particularly suitable for applications requiring good gap-filling properties and resistance to vibration and cyclic pressure. This manual brazing alloy is especially effective in air conditioning and refrigeration applications, offering service temperatures ranging from +150 ˚C to -20 ˚C. When using flame, this alloy is suitable for creating robust and leak-proof joints in copper assemblies.
