Selectarc BRAZARGENT 5018

BRAZARGENT 5018 is a cadmium-free brazing alloy formulated with copper, zinc, silver (18%), and tin. This alloy is designed to significantly lower the melting point, enhance fluidity, and improve wetting properties, making it ideal for penetrating even tight and medium gaps. It provides excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, guaranteeing robust joints. Available in both bare rods (for use with AGFLUX or HP Flux) and coated forms, it’s a versatile solution for a wide range of applications. BRAZARGENT 5018 is a high-performance brazing alloy suitable for joining various metals, including steels, copper alloys, stainless steels, and nickel alloys. It’s particularly effective in applications requiring precise joint filling and tight clearances. It can be used with either flame or induction brazing techniques (excluding coated forms). Typical applications are found in sectors such as HVAC, automotive, food & sanitary, electrical, household, and healthcare, where operating temperatures range approximately from -200°C to +200°C without significant loss of strength.
