Selectarc BRAZARGENT 1535

BRAZARGENT 1535 is a ternary, cadmium-free alloy based primarily on Copper, Zinc, and Silver (35%) with a small addition of Silicon. It’s a viscous alloy designed for joining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, except Aluminium and Magnesium. Its key feature is a high-temperature flux coating that significantly improves flow characteristics. This makes it particularly suitable for step brazing techniques where fit-up may be less precise. The alloy’s composition ensures excellent fillet formation and robust joints within a temperature range of -200°C to +200°C, maintaining its strength.

BRAZARGENT 1535 is primarily used for brazing ferrous metals and steels, as well as copper and copper-based alloys. It’s frequently employed in the refrigeration and air conditioning industries, alongside plumbing applications. Due to its properties, it’s recommended for step brazing and applications where a good fit-up isn’t guaranteed. The alloy’s performance is crucial in maintaining joint strength within a temperature range of -200°C to +200°C.
