Selectarc BRAZARGENT 1530
BRAZARGENT 1530 is a cadmium-free silver alloy (30%) consisting primarily of Copper, Zinc, Silver and Tin. It’s designed to lower the melting point, increase fluidity, and provide excellent wetting properties. This results in suitability for closely fitting joints, allowing penetration into tight and medium gaps. It offers good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and is available in bare rods, coated rods (HP Flux), or as TBW (Tubular Brazing Wire). The inclusion of silicon (around 0.1%) during melting improves alloy stability and brazability, preventing a sparkling effect. This alloy provides a robust solution for brazing a wide range of metals, including steels, copper alloys, stainless steels, and nickel alloys, suitable for applications requiring temperature ranges from -200°C to +200°C.
BRAZARGENT 1530 is ideal for brazing various applications, particularly where precise jointing is essential. It’s commonly used in industries such as HVAC, automotive, food & sanitary, electrical, household, and healthcare. Specifically, it’s frequently deployed for joining components in assemblies with tight clearances or requiring resistance to corrosion. The TBW (Tubular Brazing Wire) form offers increased automation potential, while the coated and bare rod formats provide flexibility for different brazing methods – flame or induction. The product’s robust performance and wide material compatibility make it a valuable option for demanding joining requirements.
