Selectarc BRAZARGENT 1512SI
BRAZARGENT 1512Si is a ternary, cadmium-free alloy composed primarily of Copper, Zinc, Silver (12%) and Silicon. This viscous alloy is designed for joining a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with the notable exception of Aluminium and Magnesium. Its low fluidity makes it particularly suitable for applications where fit-up is poor, and it offers good fillet-forming capabilities. The high-temperature flux coating further enhances its flow properties. Available in both bare rods (for use with BORINOX or POLYFLUX) and coated rods, this alloy is recommended for step brazing techniques and offers a temperature range of approximately -200°C to +200°C without compromising joint strength.
BRAZARGENT 1512Si is ideal for brazing ferrous metals, steels, and copper-based alloys. Its applications extend to the refrigeration and air conditioning industries, as well as plumbing technology. Specifically suited for step brazing, it achieves excellent joint strength and is recommended for situations where precise fit-up is challenging. The alloy’s temperature resistance allows for reliable performance across a broad operational spectrum.
