Selectarc BRAZARGENT 1505
BRAZARGENT 1505 is a ternary, cadmium-free alloy formulated with Copper, Zinc, Silver (5%) and Silicon. This viscous alloy is designed for joining a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, excluding Aluminium and Magnesium. Its low fluidity is particularly advantageous in applications where fit-up tolerances are poor, while its high-temperature flux coating improves flow characteristics, making it ideal for step brazing techniques. The product is available in both bare rod format (to be used with BORINOX or POLYFLUX) and coated rod versions.
BRAZARGENT 1505 is primarily used for brazing ferrous metals, steels, and copper-based alloys. It finds applications in the refrigeration and air conditioning industries, and within plumbing technology. The alloy is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from approximately -200°C to +200°C, without compromising joint strength. Due to its properties, it’s especially well-suited for applications where a precise fit-up is difficult to achieve, and step brazing techniques are required.
