Selectarc PHOSBRAZ 750
PHOSBRAZ 750 is a high-performance brazing alloy specifically designed for oven brazing applications. This alloy, identified based on its liquidus temperature, offers enhanced fluidity and self-fluxing properties, simplifying the brazing process. It’s a copper-phosphorous alloy typically used for joining copper and cuprous alloys (bronze, brass) without the need for additional flux. Due to its low melting point, it’s crucial to employ rapid heating cycles to prevent alloy separation. This makes it popular in the workshop for automated oven brazing, especially within the electrical and plumbing industries.
PHOSBRAZ 750 is primarily used in automated oven brazing operations for joining copper and cuprous alloys. It’s ideal for applications requiring efficient and reliable brazing, particularly in the electrical and plumbing trades. Key features include self-fluxing characteristics, eliminating the need for external flux. It’s recommended to maintain a rapid heating cycle. It can be used in air conditioning and refrigeration applications up to -20°C, maintaining strength. However, it should *not* be used with ferrous metals (steel, iron) or alloys containing nickel or cobalt, as it can lead to brittle joint formations. Application temperature ranges from -20°C to 200°C.
